Two people have been arrested following a high-speed chase on Dublin's M50.
The pursuit began just after 10pm last night at Rossfield Avenue in Tallaght, when a car failed to stop for Gardai.
Gardai say the car then collided with a number of garda cars before leaving the scene.
Two patrol cars were damaged and one Garda narrowly avoided serious injury in the incident.
Following a pursuit involving the Air Support Unit, the two occupants of the car were arrested on the M50.
The driver of the car, a man in his late 20s has been arrested for suspected endangerment and a number of road traffic offences.
Meanwhile, a female passenger in her 30s has also been detained for questioning.
The car they were in was fitted with false registration plates and has been seized.
