Two men have been arrested following the discovery of a gun in Dublin.
The firearm was recovered at a home in Ballyfermot last night.
A search was conducted as part of an intelligence led operation, targeting organised crime in the capital.
The men - aged 47 and 52 - are being held at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
They are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act 39/98 at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
