Trinity College Dublin says it's been informed of a positive case of coronavirus on its campus.
In a letter to staff and students, the university says the HSE will trace anyone who's been in contact with the affected person.
Some areas of the campus have been closed as a precaution.
It comes as there are 7 more cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland, bringing the total to 13.
Four males in the east picked it up after travelling, and two females in the west got it from close contact with another confirmed case.
It's still unclear where another man, from Cork, contracted Covid 19 meaning the patient could be the first community transmission case here.
He's being treated at Cork University Hospital, where outpatient appointments have been canceled and visitor restrictions are in place.
