Tributes are being paid to radio legend Bob Gallico, who passed away at the age of 83.
Bob was a newsreader on the original radio Nova in Dublin the eighties, and was best known for his distinctive delivery and quirky sense of humour.
Bob returned to San Francisco in the 90's, and continued to work in broadcasting right up until shortly before he died.
He passed away yesterday following a long illness.
Friend and colleague, Henry O'Donovan of Bondi Tunes in Australia, said Bob told him he would never retire from broadcasting.
