6 Irish stores look set to close after Topshop owner Arcadia Group announced a major restructuring of its operations.
It means 520 jobs are at risk at 23 stores across the UK and Ireland.
The fashion empire, owned by British Entrepreneur Philip Green, includes stores like Dorothy Perkins, Burton, Topshop and Topman.
The Irish stores earmarked for closure are:
- Cork (Dorothy Perkins and Evans)
- Dublin, St Stephen's Green (Topshop and Miss Selfridge)
- Dublin, Jervis (Topshop and Topman)
- Dublin, Henry Street (Evans and Wallis)
- Dublin, Liffey Valley (Wallis)
- Galway (Miss Selfridge)
The retail group's proposals will also see rents cut at nearly 200 shops.
Arcadia directors will meet creditors at meetings on June 5 to seek approval for the proposals.
