Tickets into nightclubs and late bars will have to be booked an hour in advance.
Government officials have told representatives of the hospitality sector at a meeting this morning that all tickets will have to be digital.
Meeting is over on this.
- Tickets needed to be obtained an hour in advance.
- Digital tickets
- No congregation outside venues.
- "How do you do that when you've no control of public areas?!" - industry source. https://t.co/Lr1q3uMJ5u— Andrew Lowth (@AndrewLowth1) October 26, 2021
Congregation outside of clubs will also be prohibited, with only ticket holders allowed to queue up.
This has led industry sources to question how this will be policed
A two-week grace period has been requested by the sector, however, it looks likely the government will pass regulations this week.
The sector reopened on Friday for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
