It followed growing concern over the spiralling costs
A Government spokesperson has confirmed the terms of reference of the report into the cost overrun at the new national children's hospital will be revised.
It's after controversy over the original terms stopped short of determining culpability at the individual level.
Controversy erupted last week when it emerged the terms of reference for the PwC report into cost over runs at the hospital would not find individuals to blame.
It followed growing concern over the spiralling costs of the new facility at the St James's Hospital site in Dublin.
The estimated original cost was €650m, which rose to €1.7bn, and could yet rise to over €2bn.
The controversy resulted in the head of the hospital development board, Tom Costello resigning yesterday.
He said it was due to concerns about "reputational damage" that the ongoing commentary about the increased cost was causing.
The Government will now amend the terms of reference to the cost over run report, which originally stopped short of determining blame.
