A teenage boy has died after being hit by a truck in Cork City.
The boy was hit on Sheares Street at around 3:30 this afternoon.
He was taken to Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, Cork, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The scene has been preserved to allow for a full forensic and technical examination.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
It's the second road fatality today.
