A teenage girl has died after being hit by a car in Limerick city.
It happened at approximately 11.40pm on Wednesday night in the Bank Place area of the city. The road remained closed on Thursday morning to facilitate a forensic examination.
The girl, who was a pedestrian, was brought to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries but has since died.
