Critics say Facebook needs to do something "more drastic than a name change" if it's to fix the issues within the company.
Last night Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp will fall under a new parent company called "Meta".

It's part of a long-term plan to create a completely online "metaverse", which will be accessible through virtual reality software.
But Technology Correspondent Jess Kelly says the rebrand does little to address issues within the company.
"Surely they should be focusing on those big issues before they go about creating a new universe."
The tech expert expects the same problems to follow or get bigger in the next "verse".
She admits there was a number of "eyerolls" across the technology community, at the latest Facebook announcement.
