A Dáil committee is to consider using legal powers to force the former chief executive of the Central Remedial Clinic to take questions from TDs.
There's growing pressure on Brian Conlan to reconsider his options after pulling out of a scheduled hearing at the Public Accounts Committee tomorrow.
The committee's chairman says TDs might now use their legal powers in an unprecedented move to force Mr Conlan to appear before them.
