Taoiseach Michael Martin has unveiled a brick at the Irish Arts Center in New York.
He traveled to the US to attend the UN General Assembly which got underway yesterday.
Some Irish journalists have travelled to the States to cover the trip, including the Irish Independent's Hugh O'Connell.
The Taoiseach unveils a brick from the old tyre shop that will now house the new Irish Arts Center.
The brick is from 1916.

Representatives from the Irish Arts Center explain that the brick was part of the original building that house the tyre shop. Importantly, the building was built in 1916, which they explain gives it an Irish-American connection.
