The US Vice President says the relationship between the United States and Ireland has never been stronger.
Mike Pence was speaking in Dublin this afternoon, where he met with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
The White House says the fact that Pence met with the Taoiseach and his partner shows that he's not "anti-gay."
Pence has faced criticism in the past over his views on LGBTQ rights.

The US Vice-President's also urged the government to reject equipment made by Huawai.
It comes as part of an intense political campaign by the Trump administration against the Chinese smartphone and equipment maker.
