Talks In The North To Avoid Mass Strike Action On Thursday
Talks take place today to try and prevent mass-strike action in the north on Thursday.
Civil servants, teachers, train and bus drivers, police staff and healthcare workers are among those planning to walk out in a row over pay.
The money from the British Government is there - but reliant on the DUP ending its boycott of Stormont.
Alan Perry from the GMB union wants the British Government to release money being withheld until Stormont returns, to settle the pay dispute:
"People will not be able to get to work, we use public transport, we have teachers, so there'll be no schools, so it'll have a huge impact on the public.
"It could all be avoided and hence why we would be asking on the Secretary of State to release the funds now.
