A swimming ban has been lifted at Lahinch beach in Co. Clare.
The County Council has had issued the beach with bathing restrictions earlier this week after increased levels of bacteria were found in the water.
Clare County Council, on the advice of the Health Service Executive (HSE), has today lifted restrictions relating to public bathing at Lahinch beach. Lifeguards are on duty while the Blue Flag is once again flying at the beach.

It was caused by the excessive rainfall in recent weeks and the runoff from Lahinch Bay.
Clare County Council lifted the restrictions this afternoon, on the advice of the HSE.
