Gardaí have seized 32 stolen dogs at a property in Swords.
Investigators searched a property in the Cloghran area of Swords yesterday afternoon following reports of “unusual activity in the area.”
There were three Chihuahuas, four Pugs, one Jack Russell and 24 Dachshunds at the property and Gardaí believe they were stolen.
Two dog wardens assisted in the search. They have estimated the value of the dogs at more than €120,000.
They were all taken to the Ashtown Pound where they are being cared for.
Gardaí will work to return the dogs to their families through their microchips.
The investigation is ongoing.
