New Zealand's prime minister says the Christchurch shootings suspect had wanted to kill more victims before he was arrested.
28-year-old Brenton Tarrant has appeared in court following the attacks at two mosques that left 49 people dead.
11 people remain in hospital, some of them are reported to be critically ill.
