Two politicians and two hoteliers are accused of breaching a lockdown regulation in relation to their alleged roles in organising a dinner in 2020.
Senator Buttimer tells the court he was “very impressed” with how the Clifden Station House Hotel managed the Oireachtas Golf Society dinner on Aug 19 2020.
In relation to Covid compliance, he said the hotel went, “above and beyond.”#golfgate

The dinner took place in the Clifden Station House Hotel after a two-day golfing event organised by the Oireachtas Golf Committee.
Mr Justice Woulfe, who attended the event, said he assured himself beforehand that the appropriate guidelines were being followed.
Yesterday the court heard evidence of a large partition wall being used to separate the group across two rooms.
