Supermarket Inflation Falls Below 10% For First Time In Over A Year
Grocery inflation is back in single digits for the first time in over a year.
This survey by Kantar shows the cost of groceries is just about in single digits at 9.8%.
It's still much higher than the levels of inflation seen in other parts of the economy.
At one stage - it was at 16.5% - which was back in May.
We're still on the hunt for bargains - with the sale of items sold on promotion at 24.8%.
We're also buying the shops own brands more at 11% compared to known brands at 6%.
Online sales remain strong - up 28% year on year while we're shopping in store about 20 times a month.
