Sunday Was The Warmest Day Ever Recorded
Two days ago - Sunday - was provisionally the warmest day ever recorded on earth.
The EU's climate change service says the average temperature across the globe was 17.09 degrees - slightly higher than the previous record last year.
Heatwaves have been recorded in parts of Europe and the US in the past few weeks.
In Ireland a weather station in the Phoenix Park recorded a high of more than 20 degrees on Sunday.
