Strike Action Begins Affecting Cross Border Public Transport
Bus and rail workers in Northern Ireland are taking joint strike action today in a row over pay.
It'll affect around 2,500 members of the GMB, Unite and SIPTU unions who work for Translink.
Translink operates NI Railways, Ulsterbus and Metro in the north.
It means services such as the Enterprise train between Dublin and Belfast or cross border buses operated by Translink won't be running.
More action's planned for the 15th, 27th and 28th of February.
It comes as power sharing restoration could be imminent, which may resolve the pay row.
The deal with the DUP is set to pass through the UK House of Commons today.
It'll remove checks on goods moving between Britain and Northern Ireland.
The EU says it's 'carefully considering it'.
