A red weather warning has been issued for County Clare as Storm Hannah moves in.
Met Eireann says violent gusts of up to 150 kilometres an hour are expected in the county from 8 o'clock this evening.
An orange warning comes into effect at four o'clock this afternoon for Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick - which will be extended to Galway, Tipperary and Waterford later this evening.
A yellow alert has also been issued from 11pm for counties in the west, north-west and south east.
Power outages are expected with people warned to avoid cliffs, coasts and exposed areas.
