Met Eireann has issued a status orange rainfall warning for 12 counties.
Intense rainfall associated with Storm Francis is expected at times Monday night and Tuesday.
It will lead to accumulations of 40 to 60mm of rain in places.

The Status Orange Rainfall warning will affect all of Connacht as well as the counties of Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Wexford, Cork, Kerry and Waterford.
The alert will come into place at 9 o'clock tonight.
It will last until 5pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile, a status yellow rainfall warning for the rest of the country will come into force at 9pm tonight.
A wind warning of the same level will also become valid for Munster, Dublin, Wexford and Wicklow at 6am tomorrow and last until 7pm.
