Weather warnings for rain, snow and ice have been issued for 21 counties tomorrow.
Met Éireann is warning of freezing conditions from the early hours of Thursday.
The first of two Status Yellow Snow and Ice warnings comes into effect at 3am mostly affecting the West and parts of the midlands and southwest.
Clare, Tipperary, Galway, Laois, Offaly, Westmeath and higher ground in County Wicklow can expect snow and ice with some accumulations.
It is due to remain in place until 1pm tomorrow afternoon.
The second starts at the same time and is due to affect the northern part of the midlands and the North.
People in all 14 counties can expect hazardous driving conditions, poor visibility and ice on untreated surfaces.
Yellow Snow and Ice warnings are also in place across Northern Ireland from 10am Thursday to 6am Friday.
Meanwhile, a Status Yellow rain warning comes into force for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Wexford, Wicklow at 5am tomorrow and is due to remain in place until 5am on Friday morning.
