The storm, which was named by the Spanish Met Office, will bring winds of up to 85 kilometres per hour, with gusts potentially reaching 130 kilometres per hour.
A yellow wind warning will be in place for the rest of the country.
The National Emergency Coordination Group is to meet tomorrow ahead of the arrival for Storm Jorge at the weekend.
The Department of Local Government says given the prolonged period of very wet weather, and the flooding that has already happened across the country, it was decided to convene the meeting.
