A Status Orange wind warning has been issued for Cork.
It will come into effect at 6 o'clock tonight with winds of up to 120 km/h expected to last for three hours.

Meanwhile, a status yellow wind warning is currently in place for the rest of the country and is set to last until 3 am tomorrow.
A status yellow rainfall warning is also in place for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford until 7pm tonight.
Rainfall accumulations of 30-40mm are expected with the risk of localised flooding.
