A status orange rain alert runs in Dublin and Wicklow until 8am tomorrow.
While a similar yellow warning is in place in Louth, Meath and Wicklow.
Met Eireann is warning of spells of heavy rain which could lead to flooding.
While, in Cork - the County Council has issued an urgent notice for people to avoid Midleton town centre this morning.
It comes just two days after the town suffered one of its worst flooding events ever.
