Stargazers are in luck, as clear skies tonight mean a meteor shower will be visible over Ireland later.
The Perseids shower, which occurs annually, has been visible in recent days but will be at its peak this tonight and tomorrow.
Astronomers say there is no need for telescopes to catch a glimpse of the glittering phenomenon.

Get your wishes ready, as the Perseids shower is known for its white and yellowish colours and features fine long-lasting lines in the sky.
The best place to spot a shooting star is in the darkest sky possible, so avoid street lights if you can.
They also say flat land is best, so you have an unobstructed view of the space show.
