Tom Hanks has led tributes to the American singer-songwriter Adam Schlesinger, who's reportedly died after testing positive for coronavirus.
The 52-year-old was best known for being part of the rock band 'Fountains Of Wayne' who sang 'Stacy's Mom'.
He was also nominated for an Oscar for writing the title song on 'That Thing You Do' which starred Tom Hanks.
He was being treated for Covid-19 at a hospital in New York.
Hanks has described the news as "terribly sad".
There would be no Playtone without Adam Schlesinger, without his That Thing You Do! He was a One-der. Lost him to Covid-19. Terribly sad today. Hanx
