SSE Airtricity has announced another cut to its gas and electricity prices.
The energy provider has announced it's to cut its electricity rates by almost 13% and gas by 11.5% from the 1st of February next year.
It's estimated standard dual-fuel customers will save around €450 a year on their bills.
It follows a 12% cut announced in September.
Klair Neenan, Managing Director of SSE Airtricity, says they're passing on savings to their customers. "As a company we’ve stayed true to our word and we continue to pass on savings to customers at the earliest possible opportunity.
"We’ve also worked hard over the last couple of years to support our customers as much as possible, with unrivalled financial supports and protections."
It's thought the latest price cut by SSE Airtricity could trigger a price war among other energy providers.
