SSE Airtricity is the latest energy company to announce price cuts.
A 12% cut in electricity rates, and 10% on gas, comes into effect for household customers from the 1st of November.
The price reductions will see a typical dual-fuel customer saving almost €384.55 a year.
It follows a similar announcement by Electric Ireland yesterday, and by providers Energia and Pinergy in recent weeks.
Klair Neenan, Managing Director of SSE Airtricity, said: “We're acutely aware of the pressure people have been experiencing with the cost-of-living crisis and we recognise that this continues to be a difficult time for many.
"We recognise that volatility has impacted customers over the past number of years, and we want to provide price certainty for customers who want to manage their energy costs."
