Spotify To Cut Nearly A Fifth Of Its Workers
Music streaming giant Spotify is to cut almost a fifth of its global workforce.
Bosses announced the decision to staff - citing a slowdown in the economy and higher borrowing costs.
The company employs more than 9,000 people worldwide - with 1,600 jobs to go in this round.
It's the latest tech company to announce a round of redundancies, with others including Meta, Microsoft and Google all reducing their workforces at some point this year.
It's not confirmed if any jobs at its Dublin's base will be affected.
