We spend almost four months of our lives waiting for the kettle to boil, according to a new poll.
The survey of 2,000 people has found that the average person spends around seven years waiting - that's 11 percent of their whole life!
Topping the list of things we wait for is food to cook, which is almost 17 months, according to Privilege Insurance in the UK.
That's followed by waiting for our children (12.7 months) and our partners (6.5 months).
Other time wasters include slow technology, being on hold, to use the bathroom, public transport and traffic lights.
