Businesses in the tourism sector are being specially trained in how to cater for Chinese tourists.
Some of the dos and don'ts include never giving them a room on the fourth floor - because it's associated with death, using basic Chinese phrases as a mark of respect and serving all food courses at the same time.
According to the Irish Times, the Failte Ireland 'China-Ready' workshop has been completed by over 300 over hotels, B&Bs restaurants and museums.
Almost 80,000 tourists visited Ireland from China last year.
