US Software company Workday has announced it is creating 400 new jobs in Dublin.
The firm already employs more than 1,300 people from all over the world at its Smithfield office.
The 400 new people being hired at Workday's EU headquarters will work across its product and technology development department, sales, and customer operations.
Hiring for the roles will get underway immediately.
Chano Fernandez, co-CEO, Workday says “Our Irish team has helped to shape our technology and ultimately supported the success of our customers around the world."
He says "With this added support, we’ll be able to continue this great progress by expanding our efforts in the region and fostering a great culture in our Dublin office."
Meanwhile, Taoiseach Micheal Martin says "The government’s mission over the coming months and years will be to get people back to work and rebuild our economy, while also ensuring Ireland remains well placed to thrive in the new green and digital economy of the future, with sustainable and high quality jobs."
