A new study has looked at the smells people associate with different countries.
The research found Ireland is associated with smells like potatoes, Guinness, cabbage and toast.
The survey of 2,000 people by money.co.uk, found the smell of hot sand was linked with Spain, while garlic and lavender were associated with France.
When people think of Australia they think of scents including corks, beer, salt water and barbecues, according to The Irish Daily Star.
