Six politicians have had to refund almost 10 thousand euro in expenses.
It's after an independent audit found that the claims were ineligible.
The information was revealed in an independent audit - carried out by Mazars - of the Public Representation Allowance paid to 22 TDs and Senators in 2017.
It found claims amounting to almost 10 thousand euro couldn't be justified because of a lack of evidence.
The Irish independent reports that Six politicians, four of which are from the Fine Gael Party had to make repayments.
Fine Gael TD Alan Farrell returned 4,214 euro while his party colleague Maria Bailey repaid 1,977 euro.
A third Fine Gael Politician, Senator Michelle Mulherin paid back just over 2 thousand euro, while Fine Gael Sentator Jerry Buttimer refunded 227 euro
The report found that Independent Senator Lynn Ruane had claimed 978 euro that needed to be returned.
While another Seanad member Colette Keller gave back 245 euro.
