Sinn Féin has formally complained to the European Parliament over ongoing pollution in Dublin Bay.
On several occasions this summer, there have been wastewater discharges into the sea from a plant in Ringsend.
That has led to swimming bans at several beaches.
Sinn Féin councillor Chris Andrews has written to the EU petitions committee to complain.
He claims the Government and Irish Water are in breach of EU environmental laws: ' We believe that the petitions committee will find in our favour and ensure that the government takes action to ensure that there are no more spillages into the sea on a weekly basis'.
