Rape chants, involving a group of men on the DART, have been described as shocking and distressing.
Dublin TD Alan Farrell witnessed the incident on Wednesday night, when a woman was targeted with shouts of "let's rape her" as she got off the train.
"I witnessed an act of misogyny and downright sexual harassment that was driven by the culture of toxic masculinity that exists within our society."

He says the men in question were locals and taunted in "hushed tones".
Alan Farrell tweeted: "Such a depressing event, such young men. Supposedly in touch with what it means to be a 21st century man."
In a video posted on Twitter, the Fine Gael deputy said people need to call out sexual harassment when it happens.
He said women are frequently at the receiving end of misogyny, harassment and intimidation.
"Put simply, it has to stop."
