The Government has officially told the Dail that a referendum on gay marriage will be held in 2015.
The referendum on allowing full marital rights for same-sex couples will be held alongside others coming from the Constitutional Convention.
Justice minister Alan Shatter says he'll bring new laws to cabinet next month allowing gay couples the right to adopt.
