Several people have been killed in a suspected terror attack in Vienna.
Police say an officer is also among a number of people who have been injured.
The attack is believed to have been carried out by multiple suspects across six locations in the Austrian capital with the first gunshots heard at a synagogue.
Officers have urged people to avoid all open spaces and public transport.
French President Emmanuel Macron has tweeted his sympathies - insisting France shares "the shock and sadness of the Austrians".
Meanwhile the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, says "Europe strongly condemns this cowardly act".
