Seven employees at a meat processing plant in Co Offaly have tested positive for Covid-19.
A worker at Carroll Cuisine told the company they had contracted the virus during the past week.
All of the 330 employees at the Tullamore site were then tested.
It was found that 6 other staff members who work with the initial colleague affected, have tested positive.
All seven of these people are now self-isolating.
In a statement, Carroll Cuisine says "No other positive cases have been identified and the company will continue testing all staff and will remain vigilant on a constant basis."
It insists it is supporting the affected employees and is working closely with the HSE who are satisfied with the actions we are taking.
Production was on a scheduled shut-down and a deep clean has already taken place, in addition to all other ongoing and comprehensive measures, to allow production to recommence.
