Seven farms, businesses and homes throughout the country in relation to an ongoing operation targeting fraudulent horse identification.
They're being carried out by the Criminal Assets Bureau and multiple other Garda units.
The locations searched are scattered throughout Roscommon, Leitrim, Sligo, Westmeath and Kilkenny.
The planned searches are being carried out by The Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted by the CAB, Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau.
Officials from the Department of Agriculture and the Food Safety Authority were also present for the searches.
The investigation relates to fraudulent practices regarding the tampering of ID, passports and microchips of horses presented for slaughter in this jurisdiction.
Gardai are gathering evidence at this phase of the operation, and won't be commenting any further.
