Senior gardai are marching in Dublin today over their rosters and working hours.
The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors is holding its first day of action over work patterns brought in during the pandemic.
100 members of the AGSI will deliver a letter to Garda Commissioner Drew Harris, at Garda HQ in the Pheonix Park, demanding previous rosters and work hours return.
The AGSI says a commitment that members would return to their normal work pattern after the pandemic has not been honoured by Commissioner Harris.
AGSI General Secretary Antoinette Cunningham says today's march is a clear sign of the frustration and anger among members.
"I'm hoping that maybe he [Commissioner Harris] will listen to the membership.
"Maybe seeing the membership having to travel from the four corners of Ireland, will adjust his thought practice, I certainly hope he will.
"We would like to reengage with the Garda commissioner. We don't want to be airing our internal business outside, but unfortunately he hasn't listened so far".
