An investigation's been launched following a cash in transit robbery in Dublin this afternoon.
At around twenty past one, a security man was struck on the head by another man while a delivery was being made at Blanchardstown Shopping Centre.
A cash box was stolen and the thief made his getaway in a black coloured BMW partial registration 02 D driven by a second raider.
The security man was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown - though his injuries are not believed to be serious.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information can contact Blanchardstown Garda Station.
