Chief Constable Matt Baggott and Justice minister David Forde will discuss the security situation in the North at their meeting in Dublin this afternoon.
They will also discuss cross border police cooperation and the report of the Smithwick tribunal which found Garda collusion in the murder of two senior RUC officers.
The meeting comes after a series of security alerts in Belfast in recent weeks.
