Scotland is to go into a national lockdown for the rest of January.
The measures will come in to effect at midnight tonight.
There will be a legal requirement for people to stay at home for the duration of the lockdown, with people only allowed outside for essential purposes.
Scotland's schools will also close for the majority of students until February 1st, a move which will be reviewed later this month.
The measures were announced by Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon this afternoon.
Ms Sturgeon admitted she's more concerned about the coronavirus situation now than at any point during the pandemic.
She says the new restrictions are being introduced to curb the spread of a new, more transmissible variant of Covid-19.
The First Minister of Scotland believes that without further action, hospitals could be overwhelmed within "three or four weeks".
