UK retailer John Lewis, says sales have slumped by a quarter as people adopt digital boarding passes, online document storage and e-tickets instead.
The John Lewis "how we shop, live and look" trends report shows demand for outdoor sofas rose by 155% and while demand for "sensible" sandals was up by 86% in the past year.
Demand for Barbie range of dolls and toys was up by 31%, likely down to the release of the hugely successful release of the Barbie movie in July.
Sales of chandeliers, beach towels and drinks trolleys are all down.
