The sale of the RTE Guide is no longer going ahead.
RTE had announced it was going to sell the magazine last month, in a bid to save €60 million over the next 3 years.
However, RTE says "Having considered a number of expressions of interest, none reached a level sufficient to merit a sale."
It the organisation will continue to "work with the RTÉ Guide team on how we can best take the magazine forward.'
The National Union of Journalists has welcomed the announcement that RTÉ is not to proceed with the proposed sale of the RTÉ Guide.
Séamus Dooley, Irish Secretary of the union says:
"The RTÉ Guide has a committed editor and staff who have always been willing to embrace change.
We have long-standing agreements which enable the evolution of the RTÉ Guide in the digital and journalists."
