A ban on the sale of vapes to under 18s will come into effect tomorrow.
Penalties for breaking the new rules could include fines of up to €4,000 or six months in prison.
Other measures are due to follow next year, including action on e-cigarette sales in vending machines, and advertising.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says he's glad to get the ban over the line before Christmas:
"It's one important step in a public health response to what's been going on.
"And I'm delighted to be able to sign this before Christmas."
